I am currently home-schooled by my Dad out of a Christian school in Leesville, South Carolina, U.S.A. Because I am allowed to work at my own pace and not held behind with any other students, I am 12 and going into grade 10. I take courses concerning computers and related electronics. My best subject in school is English this year; however, my favorite ones are Social Studies (mainly history), and Science. I did not do well in Biology this year, but English I somewhat aced. Math (Algebra I) I did not like very well. My foreign language is Icelandic and I have also gone to that country.
In order to tell the truth about my life in school, I must include that I constanly "goof-off." My Dad says that if I worked to my full potential I would have completed college at 11. Sometimes I will just sit at my desk and stare at my work. Once I didn't do anything for so long that at the end of 8 hours I had only done 5 pages. When I don't want to do something, I have to have somebody make me or it won't get done.
When I go to college, I will push myself to get a degree in computer programming or computer repair. I will be able to make a lot of money and also be doing what I like to do. As of next school year I will taking a course called Computer Literacy. I can't wait till I can get started. By no means am I very intelligent in computers, but I hope to learn a lot and get good grades.
Recently I attended an ACE State Convention in White Oak, S.C. While I was there, I competed against other ACE students around the state. I took first place in an event called Expressive Reading (you read and memorize a script and then say it in front of two or three judges). Furthermore, I tied another student in spelling for 2nd place. In an event called PACE Bowl (somewhat like Jeopardy), the team I was on won first in the entire state. Overall I did okay in the events for which I was signed up.
In conclusion, I will not spend time in begging the reader to e-mail me. Rather I will just say it point blank and straight-forward,"Yo!! E-mail me folks and don't let me rot here waiting for some kind of answer!!!"
