Be committed to Jesus no matter what!!

The onslaught of the enemy against the family is increasing daily, the idea that the enemy is there like a roaring lion (2 Peter 3) must not ever be dismissed as "interpretation" or merely subjective reasoning. The family is attacked, the agenda of the enemy is firmly entrenched in so many organizations and political actions that the battles seem almost overwhelming. The enemy would have the Christian to believe he is winning, but take comfort and KNOW the Lord is Victor.

What is happening is the signs of the times, the birthing of the sons of God, the realization that Yashua is Lord, the coming tribulation and His return reinforcing His victory that began on Calvary for the Christian and consummated when the bride is wed to the Groom, Yashua. Take and KNOWHe is Lord. KNOW He is Victor. KNOW He is soon coming. KNOW He is King and Lord of all. KNOW He loves you. KNOW He is holy and His bride shall be holy as He is holy. KNOW the enemy is defeated by His blood, His stripes, His resurrection, that death has no sting.

In the midst of persecution, trials, and tests, allow the Lord to lead you, to place on your tongue the words He wants said, standing in the strength and power of His Holy Spirit. The world needs to KNOW that the Lord is who we say He is through what we live, that He isn't mere lip service. When we have done all to do, there's one more thing to do, STAND.

Important to Have Correct Email Address

It seems there was this couple from Minneapolis, MN who decided to go to Florida for a few days to thaw out during one particularly cold winter. Since both spouses worked, they had difficulty coordinating their schedules, so the decision was made to have the husband leave for Florida on a certain day, with the wife following him one day later.

The man made it down to Florida and arrived at his hotel. Upon getting to his room he decided to open his laptop and send his wife back in Minneapolis an email. However, he left off one letter in typing his wife's email address and sent the email off without realizing his error.

In another part of the country, a widow had just returned home from the funeral of her husband, a Lutheran pastor of many years who had been called to glory just a few days earlier. She decided to check her email because she was expecting to hear from her husband's relatives and friends.

Upon reading the first email she let out a loud scream, fainted and fell to the floor. The woman's son rushed into the room and found his mother on the floor. He glanced up at the computer screen and saw the following email message:
"To my loving wife: I've just been checked in. Everything has been prepared for your arrival here tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then. Your Devoted Husband. P.S. Sure is hot down here ! "

Excerpts from TRADITIONAL VALUES COALITION, a periodic email
Traditional Values

"Surgeon General David Satcher's comments today were filled with contradictory statements. In addition he used old research to make the claim that sexual orientation is fixed and cannot be changed," said Andrea Lafferty, Traditional Values Coalition Executive Director in response to the Surgeon General's 'Call to Action' report regarding sexual health and responsible behavior.
In his remarks, Satcher readily admitted that condoms cannot protect against STDs or pregnancy, yet his own report says that they can provide protection. In commenting on homosexuality as a fixed behavior, he used old data to prove his point. Yet in May, a distinguished psychiatrist with the American Psychiatric Association, Dr. Robert Spitzer announced results of a study he conducted of ex-homosexuals showing that therapy and religious conversion had helped up to 67% of them experience heterosexual attractions-and to leave the homosexual lifestyle.
"While Dr. Satcher claimed he had 'no political agenda,' he chose to ignore Spitzer's findings to maintain the fiction that homosexuals are born, not made. The CDC's efforts to fight AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases will fail if health professionals continue to operate under the myth.

In another Massachusetts case, the American Civil Liberties Union is defending NAMBLA, the North American Man-Boy Love Association against a wrongful death lawsuit filed against it by the parents of Jeffrey Curley. This 10-year-old boy was brutally murdered by two homosexual lovers in 1997. One of the men, Charles Jaynes, was a member of NAMBLA. He downloaded NAMBLA materials from a Boston Public Library computer. He and his lover lured Jeffrey to his death by suffocating him with a gasoline-soaked rag, took his lifeless body back to their apartment and sodomized him. His body was then sealed inside a plastic container and tossed in a river.
The ACLU is attempting to get background information on NAMBLA stricken from legal papers filed by Curley's lawyers, Lawrence Frisoli, and Patrick Gellen. The ACLU claims that this background information-including testimonies from police and undercover agents who investigated NAMBLA, and the testimony of a mother whose son was molested by a member of NAMBLA. A hearing will be held on July 17 for a judge to decide if he will allow the ACLU to suppress this information.

Despite its promise to rid its web service of pornography, Yahoo! has not done so. In fact, a recent check of Yahoo!'s clubs indicates that there are dozens of sites where child pornography is being displayed. Patrick Trueman with the American Family Association reports the following examples: "Preteen Pics up the Wazoo," "Complete Lolita Hookers Guide," and more. There also clubs dedicated to the rape of women, urination, bestiality, sadomasochism and more.
In the last month, three men have been arrested for downloading child pornography from a Yahoo! site. Samuel Huffer, a high school teacher in Virginia was arrested in early June for downloading photos of teenage boys. Police found child pornography and drugs in his home. In East Texas, Roger Allen Christian was arrested for downloading child porn on to his computer. He faces up to five years in prison. In the third case, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip about a man in Connecticut who had downloaded child porn from a Yahoo! site.

A Chinese doctor, Wang Guoqi who is seeking asylum in the United States has revealed that he took part in removing corneas and harvesting skin from 100 executed prisoners, including one who had not yet died. He said that he saw other doctors remove organs from prisoners for sale at enormous profits. According to Wang, "Whatever impact I have made in the lives of burn victims and transplant patients does not excuse the unethical and immoral manner of extracting organs."

President George W. Bush has declined to issue a proclamation to designate June as Gay Pride Month. In addition, a White House memo states that "The executive office of the President will not sponsor an observance [or speaker's forums] for Gay and Lesbian Pride Month." Even so, several Cabinet level departments are planning gay pride celebrations. Secretary of the Department of Transportation, Norman Mineta is promoting an "Embrace Diversity" celebration. Interior Secretary Gale Norton is also moving ahead with an "Embrace Diversity" event. The Departments of Defense and Justice will not be participating in any homosexual events.

Former Education Secretary Bill Bennett has just launched a new educational effort that will benefit home schooling parents--and those who may want to tutor their children. Bennett's effort is an online service called "K12," that can be accessed at www.K12.com.

Twelve librarians in Minneapolis have won an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) complaint against the Minneapolis library system. The librarians charged in their complaint last May that the system was forcing them to work in a hostile working environment because they were being exposed to explicit internet pornography each day. They were also fearful of the men who monopolized library computers to download child pornography, bestiality, and other pornographic materials.
The library system was supposed to have responded to the EEOC ruling in June. If they fail to make safety changes to protect librarians and children from exposure to pornography, the Justice Department may file a lawsuit against the library system.

A mother in Manchester, New Hampshire is angry at her daughter's troop leader for offering to pay her child for sexual favors. The story broke last week in local papers. The Girl Scout leader, Mindy Lorenz pleaded innocent to two misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a child. She allegedly kissed the 12-year-old girl and then offered her money for sex. She admitted to police she told the girl about her sexual experiences with other women. Lorenz ran a Girl Scout troop with 15 girls. Lorenz is free on bail and her trial is scheduled for July 23. She has been forbidden to have any unsupervised contact with juveniles. The victim's mother said that Lorenz had also worked at three different day care centers in Manchester.
The Girl Scouts of America does not prohibit lesbians from becoming Scout leaders, unlike the Boy Scouts, which bans homosexuals from membership. Homosexual activists are urging support for the Girl Scouts' pro-homosexual policy. The national president of the Girl Scouts, Connie Matsui, attended a viewing of "That's a Family," a pro-homosexual film at the White House during the final days of the Clinton Administration. According to a press release issued by the lesbian film producers of "That's a Family," Matsui pledged to use their video as a resource in upcoming Girl Scout programs. If you'd like to share your views with Matsui about her pro-homosexual views, email her at: cmatsui@girlscouts.org.

On May 31, the CDC issued the results of a new survey of AIDS infection among young homosexuals. Not surprisingly, the epidemic is rising among promiscuous homosexuals who are ignoring so-called "safe sex" messages. The survey shows that 4.4% of homosexuals and bisexual men between 23 and 29 are newly infected each year with HIV. According to the CDC, 14.7% of black homosexuals become infected each year.
Health officials are claiming that "stigma" among homosexual blacks is what is keeping them from being tested or using proper precautions. Homosexual activists--including Bush AIDS Czar Scott Evertz--are planning on reducing this alleged stigma in black homosexual communities by trying to increase "self-esteem" among blacks who engage in homosexual conduct. This ridiculous approach to the AIDS epidemic will only spread the disease further. The better a homosexual feels about having anal intercourse, the more likely he will be to engage in multiple partnerships. By reducing the "stigma" of AIDS, health officials will spread the epidemic--leading to more needless deaths.

Excerpts from Religion Today, a daily email http://www.religiontoday.com/

Sounding prophetic, Sharon says, "There will not be any war in the Middle East. There will be no escalation (of terror)." An aide explains that no one can afford war or an escalation in violence. That remains to be seen in view of the history of wars (five of them) and legions of terrorist acts in Israel since it achieved statehood in 1948. According to an Israeli Defense Force spokesman, six Israelis died between June 13, when a unilateral cease-fire was announced by Sharon, and June 27. There have been 26 mortar attacks, 109 shooting incidents, 19 incidents involving grenades and 15 roadside bombing attacks in the same period.

One of the problems conservatives have is that they rarely strike back. That's why it was great to see Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris respond to the head of the U.S. Civil Rights Commission, Mary Francis Barry, and her bogus investigation of the last presidential election. Barry had concluded that Harris and Florida Gov. Jeb Bush kept blacks from voting and engaged in other racist behavior.
Harris blamed Barry for engaging in racial division instead of helping to create a blueprint for an election system in which no American ever again doubts whether his or her vote counts.
Barry was a partisan Gore supporter, as were her liberal colleagues on the politicized civil rights commission. She refused to allow Republicans on the commission to see or comment on her report before it was leaked to the media.
Harris testified yesterday before a Senate committee. She is a principled, Christian woman and it is nice to see her answering the lies of her opponents. Maybe other Republicans will develop a backbone.

Stem cell research is hot again. It's being sold on this basis: Human embryos are being discarded; babies are being aborted. We might as well get some use out of the unwanted by using human stem cells to help those with Parkinson's disease and other afflictions. Besides, do those tiny cells look human to you? Do they have hands, feet and a head?
This argument is disingenuous, because many making it wouldn't care if the cells looked like us. They favor abortion anyway. But many pro-lifers are falling into this trap, including former Sen. Connie Mack, who wrote a column in the Wall Street Journal supporting human stem cell "harvesting."
The question that needs to be asked is what makes human life more significant than a cabbage or a dog? The answer is that we are made in the image of God. If we forget that, as we have with abortion and infanticide, any claim that human life is special will be invalid. It is never right to do wrong in order to do good.

Georgia state officials have concluded a four-month investigation into spankings at Atlanta's House of Prayer by dropping an abuse case against the church's pastor. But for 15 children from the congregation who remain in protective custody, the controversy over disciplinary practices at the church is no closer to resolution. Their parents won't agree to court-imposed conditions for the children's release "in my lifetime," the Rev. Arthur Allen Jr., the House of Prayer's 69-year-old pastor, said Monday.
Allen's defiance of state child welfare officials continued despite their decision to drop efforts to take his six children into custody. "There's no physical evidence" that the children were abused, said Andy Boisseau, a spokesman for the state Division of Family and Children Services. "We got the sense that only the larger kids (in the congregation) are actually spanked."

Pentecostals are sometimes described as being emotional and theologically lightweight, but charismatics are "the most biblically astute people." That is the assessment of a leading Christian pollster, who found widely varying religious beliefs among the 12 largest denominational groupings in the country, says Charisma News.
According to the Barna Research Group (BRG), when it comes to having biblically sound beliefs, adults who attend charismatic and nondenominational Protestant churches emerged "at the top of the continuum" -- while those attending Catholic or mainline churches ranked at the bottom.
The latest BRG report, which evaluated people's opinions on eight faith-related perspectives, found "a clear-cut pattern" within the data: "Individuals associated with charismatic or nondenominational congregations were more likely than adults from other types of churches to possess biblical views on each item."

"If Jesus is not the only way to salvation, then we're moving on," say a core group of Anglican conservatives who are unhappy with "a crisis of faith, leadership and mission in the Episcopal Church over the last 30 years." In response, they formed the Anglican Mission in America (AMiA) last year and consecrated four new bishops on Sunday.
Griffith traces the crisis of faith in the Episcopal Church to one core root: "A significant number of Episcopal leaders and seminary professors no longer uphold the essentials of the faith. They say there are other ways to salvation than Jesus."
As examples, Griffith points to Bishop John Sprong of Newark, who stated he "no longer even believed in any personal God" and to the retired Archbishop of Scotland, the Rev. Richard Holloway, "who states publicly that he no longer believes Jesus was the son of God."
"That is what is at the heart of the matter," he emphasizes. "That is what's destroying unity in the church. AMiA is saying, 'You've let it go this far, we're moving on.' We're moving toward an alternative or new Anglican province in the United States."

The St. Paul Area Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is placing a local parish under "public censure and admonition for willfully violating the ELCA Constitution" for ordaining a lesbian in defiance of church policy.

"The time has come to rethink the premise that the best education is secular and that religiously based education is automatically inferior," George Marsden said in an address during the Association of Southern Baptist Colleges and Schools' June 3-5 annual meeting in Lexington, Ky.
Marsden, professor of philosophy at Notre Dame University and one of two H.I. Hester lecturers for the ASBCS meeting of 200-plus educators, said, "Religious colleges, instead of feeling that they are under pressure to become more like their secular counterparts, should take pride in the religious character of their education, attempting to strengthen it rather than weaken it.

A pastor who has devoted a quarter-century to helping change one of Philadelphia's toughest neighborhoods has been chosen to receive part of a $1 million prize. Luis Centeno, who once wore a bulletproof vest to rescue a drug dealer, is one of 10 people nationwide each receiving $100,000 from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
The Boston-based charity chose Centeno's Proclaimers of Hope Ministry as one of the recipients of its Community Health Leadership Award after citing his work as "a model for how faith-based organizations can play a key role in the restoration of an urban neighborhood," The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

The U.S. Supreme Court has allowed to stand a federal appeals court ruling that permits student-initiated, student-led prayer at such school functions as football games and graduations in Alabama. It also declined to review a lower-court decision that allowed a school to bar a first-grader from reading a story out of the Beginner's Bible.
The prayer decision enables a 1993 Alabama law permitting student-led religious expression at school events to be in effect. A federal judge issued a permanent injunction in 1997 against such religious activities, but the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the decision. The appeals court reconsidered the case in light of last year's Supreme Court opinion striking down student-led prayer at high school football games in Texas, but it affirmed its earlier ruling despite the high court's decision.

A church staff member and his three children escaped harm June 18 when a homosexual activist angry with the Southern Baptist Convention took the staffer hostage until being subdued by San Diego police. The incident took place at First Southern Baptist Church, San Diego, where Allan Ross, 46, who operates an extensive homosexual Web site, attacked David Powell, 44, minister of maintenance and media.

On June 11, Pennsylvania high school teacher Jason P. McMurtrie resigned his position after being charged with having oral sex with a 15-year-old boy in public restroom stalls. McMurtrie, a homosexual, could face a prison sentence of two or more years in jail.
After this incident was published in the Centre Daily Times of State College, Pennsylvania, a pro-homosexual school teacher wrote a letter to the paper telling readers that McMurtrie's actions were justifiable and of no significance. According to teacher Roy Schaeffer, "...these events were all years in the past and a matter of personal history. No abused child was saved by this arrest or by the media coverage. No molesting adult was stopped from abusing children." Schaeffer justified teachers having sex in restrooms by noting: "...two very young men -- one of legal age and the other only months away--went looking for anonymous sex in a place well-known for this kind of activity. Although their judgment and taste might be debatable, the teacher did not lure a child into sex. This kid was old enough and prepared enough to seek out, and conduct anonymous sex locally."

As Jeffrey Sheler writes in his new book, Is the Bible True?, recent archeological discoveries have not only proven the existence of the Philistines, they have also revealed much about how they lived.
What’s even more significant for the doubters is that much of what archeologists have learned confirms what the Bible says about the Philistines.
There is a remarkable consistency between what the Bible says about the Philistines and what archeologists are finding. This consistency prompted William Dever of the University of Arizona to say "that all [the archeological evidence] ‘fits’ the many biblical allusions so well . . . [and] shows that a post-exilic editor cannot simply have invented these passages, that they are genuinely archaic."
In other words, archeology is debunking the idea that books such as Judges and 1 Samuel were the products of some later writer’s fertile imagination. The authors of these books weren’t inventing some glorious past for Israel . Instead, they were working with real history oral and written.

Every Christian ministry and church in this country is incorporated by government authorities. We abide by municipal laws and ordinances and zoning requirements. We all have tax exemptions, and some churches are exempt from paying local property taxes as well. We collect Social Security from our employees and pay it to the government, and we're subject to the same laws that affect all other employers. So why are we afraid that faith-based solutions means the government would be running our business?
For over a hundred years, the Salvation Army has received millions in government support to provide faith-based services to needy Americans. Have they been compromised? Well, I spoke to the International Congress of the Salvation Army last summer and found them to be one of the most excited evangelical groups I've ever talked to.

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much!

This month I did my last deed for my baby sister, I did her burial service. She asked me to do several things before she died, and although it was emotional, I took comfort that the prayer of faith brough strength and courage to do exactly what she asked. My concerns were from me being un-traditional, from the fact that very few friends of hers knew she had made a commitment to Jesus, and repented of her sinful life. The service was filled with unbelievers, and yet I spoke of the words from Jesus to Mary and Martha about life, and who in particular had eternal life. Then I concluded with the Lord's words to His disciples, that there is ONE way, He is The way, The truth, and The life, and only through Him can one have eternal life with the Father. Prayer moves mountains.

Be a lighthouse of prayer for the Lord to shine His power and brightness into the lives of others!

Shine, Jesus, shine!!lighthousea_.gif  Prison Fellowship

Hurting People:

A Russian Christian leader, whose grandfather was in prison for 17 years for his faith, whose father was a famous underground church leader, and who himself was constantly harassed for part of a two-year period for preaching on the steps of the Museum of Atheism in St. Petersburg, is now facing the greatest threat of his life - from the Russian Mafia.
Dimitri Shatrov Jr. says he has received death threats from the Russian Mafia who are trying to seize the huge church he is building in a prime spot in the city. When completed, the Good News Mission Church will be the largest Protestant church in Russia.

A 38-year-old house church leader, Brother Huang, in Heilongjiang Province, China, was arrested in May during a meeting, as reported by The Voice of the Martyrs (Australia). Charged with illegal gathering, he was detained, tied and hung upside-down, and a fine was levied against him.
Noting his condition while being hung upside down, the Christians (who were allowed to see him) tried to raise the money to pay the fine. His hands and arms were swelling and his head was hurting`. Normally fines are not paid because the believers insist that they are doing nothing wrong. However, in fear of his health, they were able to raise 80 percent of the fine and this was accepted.

Send me your prayer requests, humor, testimonies! Maybe next time you'll be in the TPWMI Ezine!!

I love you in Christ Jesus!!
