Friends Ministering in Ecuador
The Duda Family
Paul and Lana Duda, missionaries to Ecuador,
South America, have a vision for new church
planting and training of national workers. They
believe the KEY to their success will hinge on the
PRAYER SUPPORT they receive. They are looking
for prayer warriors who will share their vision for
the harvest in Latin America and follow through
with intercession.
Paul and Lana prior to
missionary appointment pioneered and pastored
Elim Assembly of God in Bath, Maine, and, Paul also served as Administrative Assistant to the
Superintendent of Northern New England. For four years, Paul assisted churches throughout the
district in building programs, providing architectural plans and other building related services.
Ecuador is a country about the size of the state of Colorado. It is wedged between Colombia
and Peru on the northwestern corner of South America. Two chains of the Andes Mountains run
through the country reaching a height of more than 20,000 feet. With 99% of Quito still
perishing, the work is urgent. Paul and Lana believe that the breath of God has only begun to
blow on Ecuador's roughly 10.5 million citizens. The Dudas will be ministering in a city where
more than a million lost souls are packed into an area 2 miles wide and 15 miles long. The
need for evangelical revival is great. The Dudas are praying that they will be used to help bring
about such a revival. While Studying the Spanish language in Cost Rica in 1991, the Duda's
youngest son Josiah was struck by a speeding taxi and miraculously saved. They believe that
the prayers of the saints were vital and instrumental to this miracle.
