The North Atlantic Tragedy

Rain poured down in torrents as the fishing boat was thrashed about by the gigantic waves. Einar, Ragnar, Helgi, and Jon were the crew of the doomed vessel. Einar captained the boat.

"There are a number of rocks in this region, Einar!" said Ragnar. "Helgi, try to steer her clear of the rocks and head her out a little bit to sea!" ordered Einar.

Helgi tried with all his might but could not turn the helm an inch. Einar rushed into the cabin and, in Icelandic, yelled, "Mayday!" over the boats radio, but he could not be sure that anyone heard.

The boat careened into a rock that jutted out of the water. Three men were hurled into the cold, black mass of water. The impact pitched Einar against the wooden wall of the cabin knocking him unconscious. The jagged hole in the prow sucked in Jon.

Ragnar and Helgi swam away from the wreck. The Coast Guard arrived and rescued them. They searched the area around the wreck but found no trace of the other two men. Helgi and Ragnar both blamed themselves for the shipwreck. Jon and Einar were never found.

Ragnar and Helgi began abusing illegal drugs. They were later apprehended for possession of cocaine. At court, the judge only gave them a suspended sentence.

A few months later, at the invitation of a relative, Helgi visited a Pentecostal church. By the end of the message, Helgi was in tears. He went down at the alter call and accepted Jesus as his Saviour.

God delivered Helgi from drugs, and he started reading his Bible. However, Ragnar got into the occult.

Helgi no longer bore his grief alone and his life was flooded with peace and joy. He was concerned about Ragnar's Satanic involvement. Ragnar soon involved himself in witchcraft and became demon possessed.

At an old abandoned barn, a mutilated animal laid in the center of a 5-sided star. The candles burned dimly, barely revealing the faces enveloped in black hoods. A black-robed figure stood at the head of the group with a cup held aloft in his hand.

"As we now seal this curse our dark lord, we exalt you and proclaim that you shall defeat all Christians!" raved the priest of the Satanic ring.

"You shall conquer all of the Christians!" chanted the rest of the group. Everyone then drank from the blood-filled cup.

Later as the group started to leave, the priest took Ragnar aside to test him and said,"The spirits have told me this night that there is a woman in our circle that is harmful to us. Just as trees have branches removed to save the whole so we must remove this member to save the whole. This woman must be eliminated at all costs. I want you to do this. You will be regarded as one of the priesthood if you follow through with your assignment. If you do not do this, then you will be the one that is murdered."

"I will gladly do what my master has instructed!" exclaimed Ragnar.

A few hours later, the woman heard a knock at her door. When she opened it, Ragnar burst through knocking her to the floor. Ragnar then drove a knife into her chest and also hacked an upside-down pentagram on her stomach. Ragnar then ran out the door to his car and sped away.

Months later Ragnar was arrested for murder. His fingerprints and DNA had been discovered at the crime scene. He was tried, convicted, and given the death penalty.

After 2 years of waiting, the date of execution was set. In one week Ragnar would die. Ragnar filled with fear and cried out to God. He became a Christian three days before he died.

Weeks after Ragnar's execution, the same Satanic group met at an old dilapidated house. When the candles were lit, the dim glow revealed Helgi's face in a black hood, now worshipping Satan.
